In pursuit of a career or attending college, earning a high school equivalency credential is vital. 

HiSET (High School Equivalency Test) is an affordable alternative to the GED® test.
OPEN to California residents 18 YEARS of age and older with valid government issued identification!

2022 - HiSET Official Testing Dates (in person)

Cost - $175 for all five subjects

(must attend both days if taking the full HiSET exam)

The GED test is for adults who do not have a high school diploma. Those who pass the test receive a California High School Equivalency Certificate.  The GED® test is made up of 4 subjects, broken into separate exams. You don’t have to take all 4 tests at once - you can space them out and go at your own pace.
 
‚ÄčGED is offering online official testing. Click HERE to visit GED website for more information.  CCD will be offering GED testing district wide. At LAVC, GED is offered through the CalWORKs program. Test takers at LAVC must be 18 years or older, California resident with valid government identification, and not currently enrolled in High School. Cost of official test is $35 per subject Registration is conducted online through https://ged.com/
