Temporary Building Closures Due to Power Outage & Water Intrusion

This is an update on underground tunnel flooding and power outage on campus.   

Power has now been restored in all impacted buildings, except for Campus Center. However, we are still experiencing HVAC issues in the following buildings: 

  • Art 

  • Behavioral Sciences  

  • Campus Center  

  • Emergency Services Training  

  • Humanities  

  • South Gym  

  • Student Union 

Students & Faculty—If your class is in a building without HVAC, your class has been relocated for Monday, July 14 and Tuesday, July 15. Please check your email for more information.  

Staff—Employees who work in those buildings should contact their supervisor for directions on their work location on Monday, July 14 and Tuesday, July 15.  

We will provide additional updates on Monday.

The campus is experiencing basement flooding and a power outage that is impacting several buildings on campus.

The electricity and air conditioning are out in the following buildings: 

  • Allied Health Science 

  • Behavioral Science 

  • Campus Center 

  • Emergency Services Training 

  • Humanities 

  • North Gym 

  • South Gym 

  • Administration 1, 2, 3 

  • CPT Trailer 

All other buildings have power. Note:  Parking Structure has also lost power which affects EV charging and elevators. 

We will provide additional updates as they become available. 

Staff - If you normally work in one of the impacted buildings, please contact your dean for direction. 

Faculty – Academic Affairs will send an additional update to faculty whose classes are scheduled in one of the impacted buildings. If your class is scheduled to be in one of the affected buildings, Academic Affairs will work with your department chair to make arrangements for your class.
