What is the ICC?

The Inter-Club Council (ICC) is a governing body made-up of one representative from each chartered Los Angeles Valley College club. It is the voice of clubs on campus. ICC provides a forum for discussion and information exchange about upcoming events, and creates an opportunity for clubs to collaborate and work together.

Club Chartering for Fall 2024

Instructions
  • Must be logged on with a college issued email account in order to submit the form.
  • Club applications must be completed by the Club Advisor or Club President ONLY. 
  • Club Advisor or Club President need to request a club sign-up form by sending an email to asu@lavc.edu. This form will be used for club officers and club members to sign up for your club. 

The following forms need to be completed and submitted with the club chartering application. 

Club Chartering Guide for Students:

  • Tier 1 (ASU Funding): To get ASU funding, your club needs 10 members (5 officers + 5 others). If there are more than 10 members, everyone must pay the ASU fee.
  • Tier 2 (No ASU Funding): Clubs with only 5 paid officers can charter but won’t get ASU funding. To receive seed funding, clubs must meet Tier 1 requirements.

Seed Funding Eligibility: Charter your club by these deadlines to receive funding. All chartering forms must be submitted the week before the ICC Meetings.

  • Clubs must submit forms on 9/18/24 by 11:59PM (for 9/26/24 ICC meeting): $200
  • Clubs must submit forms on 10/10/24 by 11:59PM (for 10/17/24 ICC meeting): $200
  • Clubs must submit forms on 10/17/24 by 1:00PM (for 10/24/24 ICC meeting): $150

The last day for a Club to submit an application to be considered for chartering is October 17, 2024 by 1:00pm.

The purpose of Broadcasting Club promotes the advancement of radio, podcasting, TV, and social media. Broadcasting aims to arrange opportunities for students to gain experience in fields relating to audio and video.

The purpose of LAVC Chess Club is to create a safe and welcoming environment for students with an interest in playing and learning chess. This club will be going over topics such as game analysis, strategy, and tactics.

The purpose of Hillel club is to make Judaism relevant, supportive, and meaningful to students in the San Fernando Valley and to create opportunities of all types for student involvement.

Club Purpose

IGNITE Chapter X Women's Empowerment Club's purpose is to publicize awareness on women's issues to the students at LA Valley College. We target women's issues such as sexual harassment, gender roles, sexism, reproductive rights, and domestic violence. We seek to aid young female students on raising their political voices.

In addition to its focus on philosophy, this club aspires to be a transdisciplinary hub of student activity that integrates the natural sciences, social sciences, and artistic expression. This club will be democratic, inclusive, civic-minded, and collaborative.
