Coronavirus COVID-19 Updates

Requirements for Entering the Campus for all  students  and employees

All students and employees who access college facilities will need to show proof of vaccination or a weekly negative COVID-19 test result. Masking is required indoors, regardless of vaccination status. Please follow this two-step check-in process every day you enter campus/district facilities:

  1. Before entry, complete your Cleared4 self-check questionnaire each day you come to campus. (Check your campus email for your private Cleared4 account link.)
     
  2. Once on campus, scan your QR code at a campus scanning station. Learn how to show your QR code at a campus scanning station.

    NOTE: Scanning stations will be installed in every campus building. They are currently installed in ACA, AHS, ART, FRC, CDC, LARC, SSC, and SSA buildings (view campus map) and additional locations will be deployed soon.

For Visitors

All visitors are required to complete the COVID-19 Symptom Self-Check each day before accessing campus facilities

If you are not vaccinated yet:

  1. Immediately get either the single dose vaccine (J&J) or a two-dose sequence of the vaccine (Pfizer or Moderna).
  2. Upload your vaccination proof to your Cleared4 account. If you need assistance, contact our Cleared4 Account Support.

Counseling is offering the following virtual and inperson services.

LA Valley College Counseling Department is currently offering the following remote/online, and in-person services: 

  • Scheduled video or phone Counseling Appointments for in depth counseling, review of academic records, evaluation of transcripts, educational planning and other questions.
  • In-person same - day counseling on a first - come - first - served basis.  Wait times may vary depending upon demand and counselor availability.
  • Prerequisite Clearance:   Download and completed the LAVC Prerequisite Clearance Form.  Make sure to lists the targeted course(s) you plan to enroll in. From your LACCD Student Email Account, sent email to prerequisites@lavc.edu  and attach the completed Prerequisite Cllearane Form, and copies of your unofficial transcripts showoing completed prerequisite course(s) with grade(s).  A counselor will review and clear requested prerequisite(s) within 48 hours, based on your previous course(s) taken.
  • Permission for Excess Units: From your LACCD Student Email Account, send email to prerequisites@lavc.edu, including your name, Student ID#, Course Name/#, Permission Code received from Instructor, and total units requesting for enrollment.
  • Counseling Online Help Desk through Live Chat via Cranium CafĂ© for quick questions.  Please note, during Live Chat we cannot access your academic records, review your transcripts or create educational plans.
