NEW UPDATE FOR APPLYING TO THE FALL 2021 SEMESTER

Please read the Information posted on the Nursing Home Page regarding the restriction to our application process for Fall 2021

 

Dear Potential Nursing Student:


The Los Angeles Valley Nursing Program is approved by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) and the California Board of Registered Nursing (CABRN). National accreditation is a prestigious accomplishment for the nursing program at Los Angeles Valley College. National accreditation and State continuing approval holds the Nursing Program at a high standard and assures a program of excellence.

The Nursing Program accepts applications for the program twice a year; April for the Fall semester and September for the Spring semester. The admission criteria for the Nursing program is the Chancellor's Validation Study. The minimum cut score is 80. Remember that you must see a counselor prior to applying to the Nursing Program in order to obtain the Evaluation of Transcripts for Nursing Program Prerequisites Form signed by a counselor. Please follow the Admission Requirements posted on this webpage or call the nursing office for further information.

Important Update (02.08.2021) 

Fall 2021 Application Period

         Due to the continuing impact of COVID-19, along with the overwhelming number of applications we have received, we will not be able to accept new applications for Fall 2021.

         However, if you have previously submitted an application for Spring 2021 and received an eligibility letter stating that you have met the cut score of 80 and above, you are eligible to reapply for Fall 2021.  Please note that you do not need to have your Nursing Prerequisites evaluated again by a counselor. The dates to submit your application to the Nursing Program are during the month of April with the exception of Spring Break which is April 2 through April 9, 2021.

       The link for reapplication will appear on our website on April 1, 2021 at 8:00am pst.

Any new applications for Fall 2021 will not be considered.
