LAVC Historical Museum Open House

The LAVC Historical Museum is holding several open houses during Spring 2019 semester.

Students, faculty, staff and the general public are invited to check out the museum's collection of San Fernando Valley historical photos, artifacts, oral history recordings, an LAVC time capsule, and more. This is free event. Light refreshments will be served. 

The museum offers a free monthly open house on the fourth Thursday of the month. The Spring 2019 dates are:

  • Thursday, February 28 from 1-2 p.m. in Library & Academic Resource Center (LARC) 204

  • Thursday, March 28 from 1-2 p.m. in LARC 204

  • Thursday, April 25 from 1-2 p.m. in LARC 204

  • Thursday, May 23 from 1-2 p.m. in LARC 204

The Los Angeles Valley College Historical Museum was founded in 1975 by Dr. James Dodson. The mission of the Museum is to collect, preserve, and promote historical artifacts as it relates to the history of the San Fernando Valley. For more information, visit the LAVC Historical Museum webpage.

Ticket Cost: Free

Parking: Guest should park in College Road North. Parking permits are required at all times. Daily Parking permits for student parking spots can be purchased at an LAVC parking pay station. View campus map
