Gabriela Caballero, M.S. |
Gabriela Caballero serves as the counselor for the TRIO/Student Support Services (SSS) Program. In addition, she assists in the coordination of events and program development. She has over 15 years of experience in higher education. Prior to LA Valley, she worked for LAUSD, the CSU system, and various campuses through LACCD: Mission, Trade Tech, and Pierce. She has an extensive background working with a diverse student population. She is a proud product of the community college system and the first in her family to attend college and obtain a degree in higher education. She transferred to Cal State, Northridge, where she earned her BA degree in Psychology and Master of Science degree in Educational Psychology and College Counseling with an emphasis in Career Counseling. She is passionate about higher education, student development, mentorship, and lifelong learning. |
Wilmer Oajaca, M.A. |
Wilmer has served as the Student Services Aide for TRiO since March 2024. In his capacity, Wilmer supports all three TRiO Programs at LA Valley College. Wilmer is a first-generation graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development from CSULA and a Master’s Degree in School Counseling from Loyola Marymount University. He has over five years of experience in education, working with students from K-12 and higher education. Prior to his role at LA Valley, Wilmer worked for LAUSD and various campuses within LACCD, including Pierce College and LA City College. He enjoys going on walks, playing video games, building Legos, and spending time with friends and family. Wilmer has always been passionate about supporting students' development and educational goals. |
Melina Valle |
Melina Valle is an Unclassified Paid Intern (UPI) with the TRiO Programs. Melina studies Child and Adolescent Development at Cal State Northridge and is a former participant of the TRiO SSS Program at LA Valley College. |
Yuliana Santiago |
Yuliana Santiago serves as an Unclassified Paid Intern (UPI) for the TRiO Program and is a former TRiO participant. She earned her degree in Business Administration from California State University, Northridge, in 2025. |
