Valley Star student journalists Jeremy Ruiz, Griffin O'Rourke, and Milan Rafaelov recieved Journalism Association of Community College State Publication Awards at the Spring 2024 National College Media Conference.

Jeremy Ruiz came in first place in the Environmental Portrait category, Griffin O'Rourke earned both second place and forth place awards in Online Photo Story/Essay category, and Milan Rafaelov brought home a third place in the Editorial Cartoon category.
