Free Wednesday Concert: Music for Political Expression - Support and Protest

The LAVC Music Department proudly presents a Free Wednesday Concert on the "Music for Political Expression - Support and Protest" on April 19, 2023 at 2:30 PM in Music 106 (view map).

This is a special presentation of “Entartete Musik” (Degenerate Music) that was banned during WWII: Composers who were targeted by the Nazi regime. Listen to the music of Géza Frid, Dick Kattenburg, Pavel Haas, and Eric Zeisl performed by professional musicians from the LA area: Wendy Prober, Audrey Yoder, Diana Tash, and Maria Newman.

This concert is related to the 2022-23 “One Book, One College” program, featuring the book “Maus” by Art Spiegelman.
