How to Apply for Graduation:

Please meet with a Counselor to complete a Pre-Graduation Review Form to request a degree, a certificate and/or certification (IGETC, CSU-GE).  Please do not submit an Online Petition to Graduate via the Student Information System (SIS)/Student Portal.

During your appointment:

  • the counselor will review your academic records and complete the Pre-Graduation Review Form to update your major, educational goal, and the term you will be completing the requirements.
  • the counselor will submit the Pre-Graduation Review Form for processing.

Fall 2021 - Nursing Cohort Announcement

Due to the continuing impact of Covid-19, the Nursing Program will not be accepting applications for Fall 2021.


Deadline to submit a Pre-Graduation Review Form: 

The counselor will submit the Pre-Graduation Review Form for processing.

Fall 2020: November 15, 2020

Spring 2021: April 16, 2021*

The deadline to file for graduation to meet the Fall 2021 CSU ADT Verification deadline was Monday, March 1, 2021.

* Students who want their names to appear in the commencement program, needed to petition to graduate no later than Friday, March 12, 2021. Students must meet with a counselor, and submit a Pre-Graduation Review Form.  Spring 2021 Pre-Graduation Review Forms continued to be accepted through, Friday, April 16, 2021. 


Processing Time for Degrees & Certificates:

The evaluation of all Pre-graduation Review Forms (approved by a counselor) starts a few weeks after the end of the Fall and Spring terms. Please allow approximately four months from the end of the semester for all evaluations to be completed and for all degrees, certificates, and certifications to be posted on your transcript.

Spring 2021: August 2021 (subject to change)


Diplomas (Degrees/Certificates):

Diplomas (degrees and certificates) will be mailed to the mailing address in the Student Information System (SIS).  Please update your mailing address in the LACCD Student Portal (SIS).

The diploma is not legal proof of graduation.  Official proof of degree or certificate completion is presentation of the Official College Transcript showing conferral of the degree or certificate.  Transcripts may be viewed on the Student Information System (SIS) by going to "Academic Records."
