These classes offer insights into various aspects of health and human well-being, including healthcare systems and public health. By taking our health and human services classes, individuals gain a comprehensive understanding of the complexities of healthcare delivery, social policies, and the challenges faced by vulnerable populations.   • Successfully passing both courses in the program will provide students with a Certificate of Completion. The program coursework will provide students with a better understanding of student basic needs and a strong knowledge base of various supportive resources available in the college and the broader community. Students will gain insight into the diversity of perspectives and experiences involved in accessing social service systems and become equipped with the skills needed to independently research and gain access to services. Additionally, students will build on mental health management skills. Upon program completion, students will be better self-advocates and well-positioned to advocate for others.

Basic Needs Navigation (Certificate of Completion)

  • The Behavior Technician Preparation certificate of completion prepares individuals for frontline work in the field of applied behavior analysis. Students learn about common problem behaviors, how learning takes place, assessment and documentation guidelines. This entry-level program is designed to meet national training requirements to become a Registered Behavior Technician.

Behavior Technician (Certificate of Completion)

  • The Behavior Technician: Autism certificate of completion prepares individuals for frontline work in the field of applied behavior analysis. Students learn about autism, other cognitive impairments and their common characteristics, how learning takes place, assessment and documentation guidelines. This entry-level program is designed to meet national training requirements to become a Registered Behavior Technician.

Behavior Technician: Autism (Certificate of Completion)

  • This certificate prepares students for a career in an area with a high demand for employment. Students will learn to become nursing assistants in long-term care facilities and acute care settings. Emphasis is given to safety principles, infection control, methods for providing physical care, and emotional, social support, medical-legal issues and patient cultural differences.

Certified Nursing Assistant (Certificate of Completion)

  • This nanny certification program is designed to equip aspiring nannies with the essential knowledge, skills, and competencies required to provide high-quality childcare. The program covers a wide range of topics, from child development and safety to communication and professionalism. Upon successful completion, participants will receive a recognized certification that validates their expertise in the field of nannying and childcare.

Childcare: Nannying (Certificate of Completion)

  • The Community Health Worker Program trains community members and certifies students to work as a CHW in their respective communities. Community Health Workers are trusted frontline public health workers that serve as a link between health services, social services, and the community while helping chronically ill older adults and others access medical and social services. They focus on establishing trust in communities and improving quality of life for those in need.

  • This comprehensive program is designed to equip individuals with the tools they need to launch and manage successful nonprofit organizations. This Nonprofit Management Certificate will equip you with the skills to lead effective nonprofit organizations. It covers areas like leadership, planning, fundraising, finance, program design, board governance, and marketing. By earning this certificate, you can advance your career, make a lasting impact on your community and drive positive social change. By acquiring these skills and knowledge, you will be well-prepared to contribute to the growth and success of nonprofit organizations and make a positive impact on your community.

Management Nonprofit (Certificate of Completion)

  • Successfully passing both non-credit parenting courses will provide students with a Certificate of Completion on their college transcripts. Prospective employers will be assured that the student will have learned concepts and applications leading to an understanding of the complexities of lives for families.
