FREE Metro GoPass for LAVC Students

Los Angeles Valley College students are now eligible to receive a FREE Metro GoPass, which allows them to ride buses and trains operated by Metro at no charge.

The Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) and the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LA Metro) launched the revolutionary GoPass program, which allows all LACCD students to be eligible for a free Metro GoPass. The GoPass addresses transportation equity and increases access to higher education by enabling Los Angeles Community College students to ride all buses and trains operated by Metro—completely free of charge—beginning December 1, 2021 through June 30, 2023.

After students recieve their initial Metro GoPass/Tap Card, they will need a new activation code every semester they are enrolled. LAVC can only pick up a the GoPass at the Business Office.

To pick up your Metro GoPass Card: Go to the LAVC Business Office in the Student Union to request and pick up a Metro GoPass Card and Fall 2022 activation code. Please bring your picture ID. You must be an enrolled student at LAVC to be eligible.

If you need a Activation Code for Spring 2023: Go to the LAVC Business Office in the Student Union to pick up your Fall 2022 activation code. Please bring your Metro GoPass Card and picture ID. You must be an enrolled student at LAVC to be eligible.
