Resources & Services

Reference and Information Services

The Library is your information center for research projects and personal interests. Our reference desk is staffed by knowledgeable librarians who will help you identify and locate the most appropriate resources for your research needs. Not on campus, or after hours? Try the Library chat service (on the left side of this website) to reach a reference librarian 24/7.

When you’re at home, you can still access the Library's resources. Simply follow these instructions. You will need to use your LACCD email to log into our databases.

OneSearch and Online Catalog

Locate books, eBooks, articles and media through a single search box -- anywhere, anytime -- using OneSearch, the search tool located on the Library's homepage. You can also search the Library's catalog, or OPAC, of physical materials here.

More than 130,000 printed books, including textbooks on reserve, are available in the Library. In addition, the Library provides access to nearly 170,000 eBooks, most of which can be accessed through the OneSearch box on the Library's homepage

Journals, Magazines & Newspapers

The Library provides full-text access to newspaper, magazine and scholarly journal articles through our comprehensive suite of 43 databases including JSTOR, EBSCO's Academic Search Complete, and U.S. Newsstream. The Library also subscribes to print versions of several popular magazines, as well as to paper versions of the Los Angeles Times, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and Daily News.

Computers & Internet Access

The Library has more than 60 public computers with Internet access and Microsoft Office for currently enrolled students and faculty. You must use your LACCD e-mail ID to log in. WiFi is also available in the Library. Instructions for accessing the campus WiFi network are here.

Print & Photocopy Service

Photocopying and computer printing is available in the Library. The cost is $.10 per page (for black and white), and $.25 for color printing. Scanners and a microfilm reader are also available. The copiers and printers accept credit cards as well as cash.

Facility & Study Rooms

The Library offers 16 group study rooms, as well as individual study areas, plus spaces for listening to and watching audiovisual materials. Click here to learn more about our study room policies.
