The LAVC Associated Student Union (ASU) and the LAVC Child Development Department are both holding separate Food Drives on campus to help needy students. Both departments are collecting canned and non-perishable food that will be distributed by the LAVC Helping Hands Pantry to needy and homeless students on campus.

The LAVC ASU's Holiday Canned Food Drive is taking place between November 1-30, and donations can be dropped off to the Student Life Office on the second floor of the Student Union (SU 208). Donations will be given to LAVC's Helping Hands Project for our LAVC Helping Hands Pantry at the end of the drive.

The LAVC Child Development Department Helping Hands Canned Food Drive, which started on October 15 and ends on November 15, is accepting donations in the Child Development Department Office in the Child Development & Family Complex, Room 166 (CDFC 166). Donations are picked up on a regular basis.
