Summer Emergency Student Aid Grants for Laptop or Technology Now Available

Emergency Student Aid grants are available to LAVC students with identified financial needs that compromise their ability to continue their studies or successfully engage in their classes. The Summer 2021 Emergency Grant Application is now open. Apply today for a Laptops/Tablet, Technology & Basic Needs Grant!

$250 Awards available for LAVC Summer Students

LA Valley College students who are enrolled for Summer 2021 may be eligible to receive a $250 federal stimulus award. To be receive the award, you must:

  • Have LAVC as your home campus,
  • Be enrolled in a minimum of 3 units, AND
  • Be eligible for the California College Promise Grant (fee waiver) or the CA Dream Act, or demonstrate economic hardship resulting from COVID-19

Need Help Affording Internet Service? Apply TODAY for the Emergency Broadband Benefit!

The Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) Emergency Broadband Benefit Program will provide up to $50 per month for Internet services to college students who received a federal Pell Grant. Go to the FCC website for more information today.‚Äč

Academic Support & Library Resources Available in Summer

The LAVC Academic Resource Center has free online tutoring available. The LAVC Library website offers 24/7 access to FREE live help at “Ask A Librarian,” online research and reading materials, and FAQ and online “Get Research Help” guides for self-directed learning.
