Self-Tape Auditions - Due Friday, September 3 at 12 p.m.

The LAVC Theater Department is holding open auditions for the musical revue All Together Now! Schedule an appointment today for on-campus auditions on Wednesday, September 1 from 4-7 p.m. and Thursday, September 2 from 6-8:30 p.m. in the Theater Arts Building. If you cannot attend the in-person auditions, the deadline to submit a self-tape audition is Friday, September 3 at 12 p.m. For more informatiion about the show and the auditions, visit the LAVC Theater Department.

COVID-19 Vaccination & Testing Pop-Up Clinic

LAVC is partnering with Fulgent Genetics to hold an on-campus COVID-19 Vaccination & Testing Pop-Up Clinic on August 28 to give students, employees and the public to get the vaccine. All three vaccines options will be available. For each dose an LAVC students and employees receives at these pop-up events, he/she receives a $150 gift card to the LAVC Bookstore. Plus, LAVC students who get their vaccination at our event are also eligible for up to $150 with the Max the Vax districtwide incentive.

$1000 Federal Awards for Students with Financial Aid

Every LA Valley College student enrolled for Fall 2021 who qualifies for financial aid is eligible to receive a $1000 federal stimulus award. To receive the award, you must:

  • Have LAVC as your home campus,
  • Be enrolled at Valley College for Fall 2021, AND
  • Be eligible for the FAFSA, California College Promise Grant (fee waiver), Dream Act Grant, or demonstrate economic hardship resulting from COVID-19

If you haven't applied for financial aid, complete your Free Application for Federal Student (FAFSA) application (LAVC code is 001228) or complete the California College Promise Grant Application.

Are you taking English 101 this Fall? Are you a Latinx or first-generation college student? Join the Fall 2021 Puente Program and receive benefits such as counseling, mentorship, tutoring, and the support of your Puente familia. Space is limited. Need Help Selecting Classes, Paying for Books & More?

Extended Opportunities Programs & Services (EOPS) is now accepting applications for new students through Sunday, September 12 at 11:59 PM. Eligible students receive helpful counseling, priority registration, funds to help pay for textbooks and more. For more information and the online application, visit EOPS.
