Come get one-on-one registration assistance, see a counselor, get financial aid, meet departments and programs, and more at the In-Person Registration Fair on August 21. Meet faculty and staff at our Academic Pathways & Student Support Services Fair, and get a chance to win Apple AirPods, Beats Studio Buds, and other prizes. There will be FREE Subway lunch and FREE Kona Shaved Ice (while supplies last!) and live music from our Music Department! Plus, get $150 Bookstore Gift card if you get vaccinated at our COVID Vaccination & Testing clinic.


COVID-19 Vaccination Pop-Up Clinic

LAVC is partnering with Fulgent Genetics to hold on-campus COVID-19 Vaccination & Testing Pop-Up Clinic on August 21 to give students, employees and the public to get the vaccine. All three vaccines options will be available. For each dose an LAVC students and employees receives at these pop-up events, he/she receives a $150 gift card to the LAVC Bookstore. In addition, LACCD students are eligible to recieve up to $150 in districtwide incentives.


$1000 Federal Awards for Students with Financial Aid

Every LA Valley College student enrolled for Fall 2021 who qualifies for financial aid is eligible to receive a $1000 federal stimulus award. To receive the award, you must:

  • Have LAVC as your home campus,
  • Be enrolled at Valley College for Fall 2021, AND
  • Be eligible for the FAFSA, California College Promise Grant (fee waiver), Dream Act Grant, or demonstrate economic hardship resulting from COVID-19

If you haven't applied for financial aid, complete your Free Application for Federal Student (FAFSA) application (LAVC code is 001228) or complete the California College Promise Grant Application.

Now Hiring Student Cadets for the LAVC Sheriff's Station

LAVC Sheriff Station is hiring cadet student workers. Job duties include patrol, dispatching, and parking enforcement. Qualified candidates must be at least 18 years old, have a valid California Driver’s License, clean driving record, and able to work two consecutive semesters. A flexible schedule is required, shifts include weekends and holidays. For all the student worker job requirements and an application, email Administrative Services.

Open Auditions for Fall Production of All Together Now!

On-Campus Auditions: Wednesday, September 1 from 4-7 p.m. & Thursday, September 2 from 6-8:30 p.m.
Self-tape audition deadline: Friday, September 3 at 12 p.m.

The LAVC Theater Department will be holding open auditions for the musical revue All Together Now!. This production is part of a worldwide event designed to welcome audiences back to live theatre, with the show being performed by hundreds of high school, college and community theaters all around the globe during the same weekend (November 12-15).
