Winter 2019 Tech Fest

LAVC Professional Development presents Tech Fest: workshops centered on the use of technology. 

Come partake in one session or as many as you can, as we learn from our own resident experts how to use various technologies well. Sessions run from 8:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. each day. Lunch is provided for the first 40 people to RSVP to no later than January 14th, 2019. Please advise on dietary choices, e.g., vegan, vegetarian, gluten free. 

Topics include: Office 365, Often Overlooked Outlook Tips and Tricks, Photoshop, Canva (not Canvas), Vision Resource Network, Video Captioning, Using your smart classroom and other media equipment, Podcasting, Syllabus, Competency Based Grading, Handy Apps (Remind), Accessible documents , Structuring an Online Course Structure, Rubrics, Canvas: Welcome Letters and Student Orientation, and Share and Learn Panels on Student Communication (Interactivity and Discussions) and Best Practices.

This event is wheelchair accessible. Individuals needing sign language interpreters, assisted listening devices, large print, Braille materials, or any other accommodations, should contact Jeanne Owens in Professional Development at least 5 business days before the event.
