Getting Started

We want to welcome all of you who are interested in taking an online class from Los Angeles Valley College. This section has been created to give you assistance in successfully completing an online class.

Online Classes Being Offered

To see which classes are being offered, click the link on the left titled “Online Class Schedule.” Some instructors have provided Letters of Introduction to the class. You will find them located just below the title of the course. These letters will give you a preview to your class. If you still have questions, you may email the instructor. For even more information, you can go to the “Instructor Web Pages.”

Find out if you are really ready for an online class by going to the link on the left titled “Are You Ready For Online Learning?"

How Do I Log On to My Class?

Go to the link on the left titled, “Logging In Online.” This is your portal to all of your online and hybrid classes. On the left of that page you will see instructions to log on and make sure your computer system is set for your online class.

If you ever have any problems logging online or using the ETUDES NG system, try the links to the left before you email your instructor. The answers might be there and you will get help much sooner than if you emailed your instructor. Try the tutorials for specific instructions.

Finally, if you have any questions that are not answered here, go to the link titled “Ask A Question.” There you can leave a question and participate in discussions with other online students.

Help Desk

We have set up a system for getting help for your online class during the first
three weeks of school (Feb. 4, 2008 - Feb. 23, 2008):

3. You can receive in-person assistance at the CCAT Computer Lab at BJ103.     Hours are:

          Monday – Thursday 10 am – 9 pm

          Friday 11 am – 6 pm

          Saturday 1 pm – 5pm
