Antelope Valley College

The Health Sciences Division is geared toward preparing students for  a professional role in health related fields including registered  nursing (RN), licensed vocational nursing (LVN), respiratory care, radiologic technology, emergency medical technician (EMT), nurse aide/ home health aide, nutrition and foods, and medical assisting.

College of the Canyon Community College
This link takes you to College of the Canyons’ well-respected two-year registered nursing program is accredited by the State Board of Registered Nurses and National League for Nursing. It is designed to prepare the student for the responsibilities and knowledge required for the entry-level registered nurse. The successful nursing program graduate will qualify to receive a certificate of completion, an Associate Degree in Nursing, and take the national licensure examination to become a registered nurse.

Los Angeles Pierce College offers an Associate in Arts Degree Nursing Program. The Registered Nurse Program is accredited by the Board of Registered Nursing** and the National League of Nursing Accrediting Commission, Inc.* Students must first be admitted into the nursing program before they may register for nursing courses. Students are admitted for both Fall and Spring Semesters.

CSU San Bernardino
This site is filled with everything you need to know about the CSU San Bernardino nursing program options. Nursing majors in the generic pre-licensure BSN program based on twice a year admissions [Fall and Winter]. The generic BSN program is offered at San Bernardino as well as at the Palm Desert Campus [Fall admission only]. The RN to BSN program for individuals who already possess a California RN license is offered at both sites. At the Palm Desert Campus the RN to BSN program is hybrid, with courses offered mostly via distance learning. About this Degree - In order to fulfill Nursing program prerequisites students will need the following classes outside of VCAP: Anatomy 1/Physiology 1 or Physiology 8/Physiology 9 and Microbiology 20.

Science classes in this track or offered elsewhere in VCAP can be used to earn a General Studies Associate Degree, Natural Science Option.
