The Program Leader

The program leader, Michelle Visco, earned her B.A. in history from the University of California, Los Angeles with a specialization in European History.  She earned her M.A. in history from the University of California, Riverside with a focus on Early Modern Italian History.  She wrote her M.A. thesis on Italian Religious and Cultural Festivals.    

 

As a student, Professor Visco participated in a study abroad program to Siena, Italy.  She has been the program leader for two previous study abroad programs to Italy as a history instructor with Orange Coast College, and has traveled throughout Italy and Europe on many other occasions throughout the past decade. In Fall 2005, Ms. Visco joined the faculty at Los Angeles Valley College where she continues to teach the History of Western Civilization and the History of the World religion courses.
