Message from the President
Dr. Susan Carleo
The revitalization of Los Angeles Valley College is well underway. The College is undergoing a $286 million building and renovation project that is improving College facilities for our current students and future generations of students. By enhancing our facilities, we will be better able to help train students to meet the challenges in today and tomorrow's workplace.
This summer, Valley College is renovating the Art, Engineering, Humanities, Music, Math Science, Planetarium and Theater Arts buildings as well as renovating the main Fulton Avenue entryway (at Fulton Avenue and Hatteras Street). Our new pool facility in our North Gymnasium is currently under construction. In addition, construction will begin for an expansion of the Motion Picture Studio and a new Child Development Center complex.
This fall, the College will open its new state-of-the-art Allied Health & Sciences Center. This LEED-certified building will boast 131 new rooms, tutoring labs, and faculty office, and will be home of our Life Science, Physical Science, Earth Science, Anthropology and Health Science departments.
As Valley College's new Acting President, I look forward to working closely with our Citizens' Oversight Committee, which is made up of homeowners, business and community leaders, students, and senior citizens, to keep them abreast of the improvements to Valley College.
I welcome you to visit the campus to see the wonderful things we are doing to make Valley College a better place to learn.
Sincerely,

Dr. Susan Carleo
Acting President
