PASS (Preparing All Students for Success)

In 2010, LAVC embarked on a new campus-wide approach to help strengthen the college’s strategies for improving student success called “Preparing All Students for Success” (PASS).
The PASS approach was developed based on the work of Achieving the Dream (ATD), a national consortium focused on helping more community college students succeed. Using the strategies of ATD, LAVC will create a toolbox to assist the college in using data more effectively to help close achievement gaps and improve student outcomes.
As part of this effort, the college has assembled a new PASS Workgroup, which is comprised of a team of college faculty, staff, administrators and students, to help establish the college’s student success goals and guide the college’s work towards improving student success. In addition, this workgroup will share information about PASS, post its agenda and minutes, and share information about upcoming events.
