Introduction to Media Arts Programs

The Media Arts Academy curriculum includes all courses focusing on using computer technology in digital media production. Using miniDV format digital camcorders and Macintosh computers, digital media production is maintained with the latest technical innovations.

Media Arts Students at Valley College often find that this very consuming academic endeavor creates challenges that foster cooperative working and studying together, reinforced by the demands of production schedules and academic coursework. Student often rely upon one another to perform mutual crew duties on the many student productions each semester. They have formed their own student group, MASC, or Media Arts Student Committee. MASC produces its own newsletter several times a year, and initiates and sponsors special film screenings and writing contests.
