Betty Ballew

Betty Ballew is a professor of Speech and Broadcasting    She teaches the television announcing class in the Media Arts area.  Betty attended the Pasadena Playhouse and CSULA earning her AA, BA and MA degrees in communication arts.

Betty worked as an actress in feature films and television while attending school.  She was a contract player at American International Pictures.  She worked in the news department at Metromedia, channel 11 now Fox TV for several years before becoming the president of an all woman production company, TVS, Inc She has received a Drama Logue Award for Costume Design of The Three Penny.  She has also written produced and directed a history video for LAVC’S 50TH anniversary.
