Job Training Receives March 2, 2005 - - Citing their "impact on the local community, the value to employers, and providing a model for other community colleges," The California Community Colleges Association of Occupational Education (CCCAOE) has presented Job Training with their "Excellence in Partnerhsip" award. The official program says in part, "...Job Training coordinated its efforts with the strengths Job Training director Lennie Ciufo, who traveled to Sacramento to receive the award, is very pleased to be able to represent this group. "We have always prided ourself on our partnerships. It’s nice to be recognized by the entire California Community College system for our excellence in that area. It's very apparent that our competition for this award was very steep, and we are proud to be recognized as the model for the state. "Job Training recognizes the overwhelming support of the four WorkSource Centers in the San Fernando Valley (El Proyecto del Barrio, Build, Van Nuys, and Canoga Park), as well as the Economic Alliance of the San Fernando Valley and the Valley Economic Development Center (VEDC) who played key roles in helping us to earn this prestigious award. We plan to continue our close relationship with them in helping to meet the needs of our community.
