Student "U" drives are created at the beginning of each semester and deleted at the end of the semester. Only Current students have an LAVC "U" drive.
HOW TO CONNECT TO YOUR
STUDENT NETWORK DRIVE
Upon registration and logging into a campus computer, each student is given a Network drive, identified as "U" drive.
Students can find their network drive by clicking on "My Computer" Icon. Look under Network location. The drive starts with student's current user name followed by the dollar sign ($).
The school network drive will allow each student to save their documents or programs on the drive and access it anywhere on campus. The "U" drive is only accessible on campus. To work on files off campus, students will need to save their files/work on a flash drive.
