Description
The Foreign Language Media Lab offers LAVC students a variety of ways to complement and enrich their classroom language learning experience. Some of the language immersion experiences available through our up-to-date multimedia language software include the possibility to listen to native speakers and engage in and record interactive dialogues. In addition, the Foreign Language Multimedia Lab offers the possibility to virtually tour and do research in foreign cultural sites, museums, cultural centers, libraries, and other landmarks via the web.
The newly remodeled lab offers access to twenty-five multimedia computers in addition to two wheelchair accessible computer stations that are reserved for students enrolled in Foreign Language classes. Students may borrow dictionaries, workbooks, or other materials related to their assignments for use in the lab. A lab assistant is always on duty to answer questions about the specific language programs and to provide help utilizing Valley's UIA network.
Students must show LAVC ID /Registration at each lab visit.
