The following is a list, in order and approximate chronology, of the class reading assignments. Please make a point of reading any and all Longman Anthology introductory essays relevant to the literary works listed below, beginning with "The Middle Ages". There will be supplemental readings in the form of handouts. Writing assignments and test dates will be further discussed in class.
