VocEd 82 Certified Nursing Assistant
Combined with Home Health Aide (HHA), this is a 20-week State Certified class. Students gain classroom and clinical experience, including how to attend to patients and observe their physical, mental, and emotional conditions. A California Community Colleges Certificate of Completion is awarded after successfully finishing VocEd 82CE and VocEd 83CE.
VocEd 83 Home Health Aide
VocEd 83CE has a prerequisite of VocEd 82CE. Students learn how to assist the family in care giving, helping the patient remain in the home. They follow a doctor's treatment plan and work under the supervision of a family member, registered nurse, or physical therapist. They may also take care of children when their mother or father is sick or disabled. After completion of the class, students take the state exam to become certified as a CNA and HHA. Students also earn a California Community Colleges Certificate of Completion afer successfully finished VocEd 82CE and VocEd 83CE.
VocEd 108 Computer Technology in the Workplace
Students are taught basic computer skills, such as how to use computers and software application programs for businesses and personal use. They learn about workd processing software, database management, and the Internet. This is an open-entry/open-exit course.
