he Office of Compliance at Valley College, under the direction of the Compliance Officer, is dedicated to creating and maintaining an educational, employment and business environment free from prohibited discrimination and harassment. Per the District's policy, prohibited discrimination is defined as, "discrimination or harassment in violation of state or federal law on the basis of actual or perceived ethnic group identification, race, color, national origin, ancestry, religion, creed, sex (including gender-based sexual harassment), pregnancy, martial status, cancer-related medical condition of an employee, sexual orientation, age, physical or mental disability or veteran status."

The Compliance Officer is responsible for investigating and mediating complaints of prohibited discrimination and harassment. It is the guiding principle of Valley College to address these matters in the most thorough, confidential and expedient manner possible. Valley adheres to the strict District policy and state and federal laws.
