Q: Do I have to RSVP?
A: You do NOT have to tell us whether or not you are coming to the ceremony on Tuesday, June 4th.

Q: Where do I check-in?
A: Graduating students only report directly to the Monarch Hall on Tuesday, June 4th at 7:30 a.m. Be on time. Bring only what you will carry. No personal items can be left in the Monarch Hall. Guests should go directly to Monarch Stadium. No pets allowed.

Q: Do I have to purchase invitations or announcements to invite guests?
A: You do not have to buy invitations in order to invite guests. However, announcements are available for purchase at the LAVC Bookstore.

Q: How many guests can I bring?
A: You can invite as many guests as you want. They DO NOT need tickets.

Q: What is the parking fee?
A: Parking is FREE on June 4th, for commencement.

Q: When will I receive my official diploma?
A: The Graduation Office will verify that you have completed all the requirements for your degree. Printed diplomas are mailed by October. Make sure that your address is updated on the Student Information System. Print out a change of address form on the LAVC Admissions website (the form is also available in the office), and bring it to the Admissions office.

Q: Are Pets allowed?
Absolutely NOT!  Do not bring your pets. Comfort pets are not allowed.

Q: Can I walk with my child/children?
No.  Please leave your children or child with a family member or friend. Children are allowed in the bleachers with the other guests, but not to walk in the processional. 

Q: What Items am I not allowed to bring to the ceremony? 
The following items are not not allowed (no exceptions) in Monarch Stadium: balloons (all types), noise making devices, umbrellas, and pets.
