Program Description
High5 (High-schoolers Find Inspiring Vocations in Early education) is a Los Angeles Valley College program funded by First 5 LA. The goal of the program is to encourage high school students to explore careers in early childhood education. High5 provides activities and academic mentoring to students interested in actively moving forward within the child development field.
Mission Statement
High5 works collaboratively with three high schools and various community partners to support students’ exploration of careers in early childhood education. High5’s inclusive, non-biased approach will help form the lens through which students respectfully serve the children and families of the community.
