The Family Resource Center (FRC) provides family support services to LAVC students, staff and faculty, as well as community members who have children. Various services are designed to assist families such as parent and baby sessions, a baby clothing exchange, lactation room, parent-lending library, and community resources – all for free!
In addition, the FRC houses grant programs that provide education and professional development activities to build the early childhood workforce. Activities are designed to support high school students through those completing their Master's Degree in Child Development (CD). With the goal of student success, programs include cohort groups with academic support, CD units, CPR and first aid training, fun family events and stipends upon successful completion of requirements.

We've Moved!
The Family Resource Center (FRC) has moved into our new location in the Child Development & Family Complex. The new building was a donation from the JH Snyder Company and will enable the FRC to continue to train the early childhood workforce and to provide families with young children support services. The environmentally friendly Child and Family Complex also contains the Child Development Department classrooms and offices, as well as the campus Child Development Center.
Current Hours of Operation: Monday - Friday 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
