Heather Trojan

     A graduate of the University of Miami with a Bachelor of Arts in Developmental Psychology and Elementary Education, Heather continued at Pepperdine University where she received her Master of Arts in Early Childhood Education. Heather is also a certified trainer with the Department of Children and Families in Florida.

     Her experience of 20 years includes being a preschool teacher in Miami, Florida; Los Angeles, California; and Boulder, Colorado; as well as having worked as a kindergarten teacher in Longmont, Colorado, and Miami, Florida. She has also been a center director in Los Angeles, Miami, and Key Biscayne, Florida. Additionally, at the Career Development Center in Longmont, she was the early childhood vocational instructor and director for the onsite child care center.

     Heather's adjunct experience began at Barry University in Florida where she taught Developmental Curriculum and Strategies, Guiding Primary Learning/Classroom Management, and Needs of Special Children and their Families courses. She started her adjunct position with LAVC in the Fall of 2005, teaching Child Development 1.
