     A product of Sydney, Australia, Gloria comes to the United States by way of Madrid, Spain where she was raised and went to school. It was there she received part of her undergraduate education, obtaining an A.A. degree as a Special Education Teacher. Later, Gloria moved to the United States where she earned a B.A. in Behavioral Sciences before moving to Cal State Northridge, receiving an M.S. in Family and Consumer Sciences, with an emphasis in Child Development. At CSUN, she received the Outstanding Academic Student Dean's Award in 2005 while becoming a member of the Kapa Omicron NU Honor Society.

     With 19 years of professional experience, Gloria’s resume includes working in the field of child development, special education, social work, and teaching parenting education. Highly knowledgeable in the field of child development, Gloria also excels in early intervention services (children 0 to 3 years old), and school age children and adults with disabilities. In addition, her professional experience includes working with multicultural families, diverse socioeconomic status, families exposed to alcohol and drugs, and teenage parents.

     Gloria’s teaching philosophy includes helping to reach the individual's highest learning potential, finding the strengths of each individual, developing the student's self-esteem, and promoting tolerance. She strongly believes children are the best asset in this world and are the responsibility of the adults to raise and educate them as tolerant, curious, confident, and responsible children.
