Congratulations to Gjenaii Z. Enciso Givhan, assistant professor of Business Administration, LAVC, on being awarded the "2019 Advancing Real Estate Education Award" from the California Community Colleges Real Estate Education Center.

LAVC Faculty Member Receives a Prestigious Award

Gjenaii Z. Enciso Givhan in the LAVC Business Administration Department was was recently awarded with the “2019 Advancing Real Estate Education Award” by the California Community Colleges Real Estate Education Center (CCCREEC).

She was recognized for her efforts to promote student success in the classroom and community include revising the real estate program at LAVC and adding a real estate certificate of achievement. She also helped to establish a real estate student career mentoring program, advising a real estate club, and helping student build thriving careers in all areas of real estate practice. 

Enciso Givhan has been teaching for 15 years, and is a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor of Business Administration and Real Estate at Los Angeles Valley College. She holds a Masters in Business Administration with a specialization in organization leadership from Mount St. Mary’s University and a California Real Estate Broker License.

The California Community Colleges Real Estate Education Center promotes excellence in real estate education by recognizing exceptional real estate faculty in the California community colleges. The center works with instructors to ensure quality instruction, actively encourages enrollment, and supports students seeking vocational real estate and appraisal education.
