It's Not Too Late to Get Ahead or Stay on Track! More Late-Start Classes Begin October 23

LAVC is offering a selection of short-term, accelerated courses that start later in the Fall 2017 semester (also known as "late-start" classes) to help students stay on track or get ahead in their educational goals. Most late-start classes start on October 16 or 23, and end on December 17.

Students should check the Fall 2017 Open Late-Start Classes link on the Schedule Web page to see which late-start classes have open seats. Unfortunately, due to a technical glitch there are issues with the late-start classes in the searchable class schedule.

To enroll, students should do the following:

  • For late-start classes that begin on October 23, 2017 and end on December 17, 2017, current students can enroll online now.

  • For all other late-start classes, current students should come to Admissions and Records, located in the 1st floor of the Student Services Center (SSC), to enroll in the class.

  • To add a class on the first day of instruction, students can attempt to "crash the class" by attending the first class meeting and asking the instructor at the end of the class for permission to add. If there is space to add the students, the instructor will give interested students a permission number that allows the student to add the class through the LACCD SIS Portal.

For more detailed information on late start classes and how to enroll, visit the Fall 2017 Late-Start Frequently Asked Questions page.
