LAVC Faculty Member Kimberly Robeson Publishes a New Novel

Kimberly Robeson, LAVC assistant professor of English, has recently published a novel titled The Greek Persuasion. The LAVC Library and the LAVC Foundation Office are hosting a book launch event on Thursday, May 16 from 1:30-3 p.m. in the LAVC Library's Reading Room. All proceeds from book sales at event will be donated to the LAVC Foundation.

LAVC Faculty Member Kimberly Robeson Publishes a New Novel

Kimberly Robeson, assistant professor, English, LAVC, has published her debut novel titled The Greek Persuasion.

The LAVC Library and the LAVC Foundation Office are hosting a book launch event for The Greek Persuasion by Kimberly Robeson on Thursday, May 16 from 1:30-3 p.m. in the LAVC Library Reading Room on the first floor of the Library & Academic Resource Center (LARC). 

The book launch is going to feature a reading, discussion, Greek music with singer Vassilia Meliou accompanied by Michael Garza, and signing with an introduction by Adoni Maropis, actor (Mortal Kombat, 24, etc.)  There will also be raffle prizes including T-shirts, mugs, and more. A free raffle ticket will be given to each person who attends. 

The novel is available for sale for $20 at the event, and include a second free raffle ticket and bookmark with book purchase. All proceeds from book sales at event will be donated to the LAVC Foundation.

Kimberly Robeson, a Greek-American assistant professor at LAVC, teaches world literature,
creative writing, and composition. She is also the coadvisor for the college’s LGBTQ+ Club. She received a master’s degree in comparative literature and has taught English in Greece, Peru, and the United States for the past twenty-seven years. Kimberly grew up in Greece, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, and the United States. She currently resides in Los Angeles with her husband, Hugo, and their three bulldogs: Achilles, Oia, and Opa.
