LAVC Athletics Monday Memo for March 18

Congrats to Men's and Women's Swim for progressing to the Spring conference finals! This week, Softball plays Antelope Valley on March 21 at 2:30 p.m., and then Allen Hancock on March 22 at 3:30 p.m., and Baseball plays Pierce on March 23 at 12 p.m., Men's & Women's Swimming are hosting the WSC #3 Meet at Valley on March 29 starting at 9 a.m. Admission is free to these home games. 

LAVC Athletics Monday Memo for March 18

The LAVC Athletics Department congratulates Men's and Women's Swim for being on their way to the Spring Conference Final. The campus community is invited cheer on our Monarchs at one of the free home Athletic games. Softball steps up to the plate against Antelope Valley on March 21, and Allen Hancock on March 22, Baseball goes up to bat versus Pierce on March 23 at 12 p.m., and then Men's & Women's Swimming host the WSC #3 Meet on March 29.

The following is an update on our Monarch Athletic teams and the game schedule for the week of March 18-31: 

  • Baseball (7-16) is in their BYE week, so they pick up the scheduled play on Thursday, March 21 playing at Pierce College at 2 p.m. and they return home to play Pierce College on Saturday, March 23 at 12 noon. There is free admission at home baseball games.

  • Softball (15-5) plays at home versus Antelope Valley College on Thursday, March 21 at 2:30 p.m. and at home again versus Allan Hancock College on Friday, March 22 at 3:30 p.m.; admission to home softball games is free. Following those games, they play a double header at College of the Desert on Saturday, March 23 at 12 & 2 p.m.

  • Men’s Swim and Women’s Swim is progressing towards the spring conference finals, as they host the WSC #3 swim meet here at Valley on Friday, March 29 beginning at 9 am.  It will be a large event as we host College of the Canyons, Hancock College, Citrus College, and Bakersfield College.!

The LAVC Athletics Department's Monarch Athletics program comprises of 10 intercollegiate athletic teams. The Men's Football, Women's Soccer, and Men and Women's Water Polo teams play every fall. Spring team sports include Men's Baseball, Men's and Women's Basketball, Women's Softball, and Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving.
