Students—LAVC's VPH Student Health Center Open During Summer Session

Did you know that your Summer student health fee allows you to access free or low-cost medical services and mental health services on campus? Stop by the Valley Presbyterian Hospital Student Health Center on the first floor of the Student Union on Tuesday-Thursday from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. during Summer 2017 Session 1. 

Students—LAVC's VPH Student Health Center Open During Summer Session

The Valley Presbyterian Hospital (VPH) Student Health Center and Student Psychological Services is open during Summer Session 2017 to provide medical and mental health services to students who have paid their Summer health fee. It is located on first floor of the Student Union (SU 101). 

The VPH Student Health Center offers LAVC students access to free medical services such as medical assessments, examinations, and short-term treatment for illness and minor medical problems, as well as reduced costs for on-campus lab tests and immunizations. To schedule an appointment, call (818) 947-2918. 

The VPH Student Health Center's Student Psychological Services has an experienced clinical psychologist will discuss your problem with you, explore ideas for resolving your problem, and work with you as you attempt a resolution. To schedule an appointment, call (818) 947-5708.

The following are their Summer 2017 hours of operation:

  • From June 12-July 14, the VPH Student Health Center and Student Psychological Service is closed on Monday, open Tuesday-Thursday from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. and closed Friday-Sunday.
  • From July 17-August 18, the VPH Student Health Center is closed on Monday, open Tuesday-Thursday from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. and closed Friday-Sunday; Student Psychological Services hours for Summer Session 2 are to be determined.

The Student Union is home to the Valley College's Cafeteria, Lion Cafe, Student Life Office, VPH Student Health Center & Student Psychological Services, Bookstore, Business Office, and the on-campus ATM. This building serves as a hub for student activities on campus, and houses a student game room and a dedicated student study room.
