LAVC Sheriff to Issue All LAVC Temporary Parking Permits

As the new academic year begins, the LAVC Administrative Services Office wants to remind you to display your valid parking permit, and that all temporary parking permits will now only be issued by the Sheriff's Department at LAVC, and temporary permits must be renewed every semester.

LAVC Sheriff to Issue All LAVC Temporary Parking Permits

The LAVC Administrative Services Office reminds the campus community about important Valley College's parking rules and regulations in anticipation of the start of the new academic year.

The LAVC Sheriff's Office controls all parking lot security and parking citation issuance at Los Angeles Valley College. Parking permits are required to park in any campus parking lot. Parking violations are enforced under 21113 (a) C.V.C. Please refer to the LAVC Comprehensive Parking and Traffic Regulations Policy for detailed regulations regarding parking and traffic on campus.

In addition, all students, faculty and staff should remember the following information regarding parking on campus:

  • A valid parking permit must be displayed visibly on your dashboard or rearview mirror.

  • All Temporary Parking Permits are issued by the Sheriff’s Department at LAVC only, no exception. Any vehicle that does not display the proper parking permit authorized by the Sheriff’s Department will be cited.

  • Report any lost or stolen permanent parking permits to the Sheriff’s Department at LAVC.

  • Temporary Permit must be renewed every semester.

To request a temporary parking permit for a faculty member, student worker or guest, email the Sheriff’s Department at LAVC at sheriff@lavc.edu with the following information:

  1. Requesting Department

  2. Person making the request

  3. The first and last name of person reciving the temporary parking permit

  4. Date(s) or duration of the temporary parking permit; maximum lenght is one semester

  5. Vehicle license plate number, if known
