Greg Venger Selected as LAVC's New Softball Coach

LAVC Athletics announced that Greg Venger has been named the new women's softball coach for 2018. He starts immediately and will transition from his current role as head women's soccer coach this season.

Greg Venger Selected as LAVC's New Softball Coach

Los Angeles Valley College Athletics is proud to announce that Greg Venger was selected as the new Women’s Softball coach for the 2018 season. His new position started immediately.

Greg has years of success in skill training athletes, young and old, in softball, baseball and soccer. He is a teacher/athletic director at Cleveland High School, and currently the head women’s soccer coach here at Los Angeles Valley College.  Greg has coached nine years of baseball and taken Cleveland High School's baseball team to three city final games.

"We are fortunate to have Greg’s experience and passion to lead our softball program, and his familiarity with the student success goals of the college," said Jim Fenwick, LAVC Athletic Director. "We are confident that he will develop a staff and recruit top student athletes to be competitive in the Western State Conference."

Greg has excelled with LAVC's Women’s Soccer program, set team records and got the Lady Monarchs to post season play in 2016. He will continue to lead the soccer program this season and transition to leading our softball program in 2018.
