GED (General Educational Development) - OPEN to EVERYONE 18 YEARS of age and older !
Official GED Testing
LAVC CalWORKs Program is certified by the State to conduct official GED testing.
GED testing is held once per month*, space is limited, and prior registration is required.
GED Official Testing Fee is $150, payable in exact CASH or MONEY ORDER only. You must be 18 years old or older and have valid government issued identification in order to register for the official test.
GED Retesting
If you have taken the official GED testing and did not pass specific subjects, you may retake these subject(s) during the official testing dates.
Prior registration is required. Retest fee is $35 per subject + $14 for scoring the Writing test, payable in exact CASH or MONEY ORDER only.
GED Practice Testing
GED practice testing is offered every Friday* from 8:45 am to 12:00 pm, but not during the week of official testing days. The practice testing will give you an idea of how well you would score if you were to take the official exam.
Practice Test Fee is $10, payable in exact CASH or MONEY ORDER only.
* Schedule subject to change without notice. Practice testing will not be offered on the Fridays of the official testing day.
