Monday, Tuesday, Thursday:
8:30am - 4:30pm

Wednesday
8:30am - 7:00pm

Friday
9:00am-1:00pm

We are closed on weekends, college holidays, and during
term breaks.

 

health  The Student Health Center at Los Angeles Valley College, in partnership with Valley Presbyterian Hospital in Van Nuys, is dedicated to providing our diverse LAVC community with the highest quality healthcare in a comfortable and compassionate environment. The LAVC college health specialists are committed to helping students to stay healthy by educating and promoting preventative medicine. All services at the student health center are provided at little or no cost to currently enrolled students. The student health fee provides for these services. If you are currently enrolled at LAVC, you can see a primary care physician or physician assistant at no charge. You can call (818) 947-2918 for an appointment. Urgent care and same-day visits are also available during clinic hours.

Services Offered:
  • General Health including: first aid and urgent care needs, physician services by appointment, physician assistant services by appointment.
  • Preventive Health Screening (At No Cost) including: physical exams, blood pressure screening, vision screening, breast exams, HIV and STD screening.
  • Lab testing and Immunizations at a reduced cost including: TB skin test, tetanus/diphtheria, hepatitis B, cholesterol screening, diabetes screening, pap smears, other labs available.
  • Referral Services (*at no cost at a local facility): psychological services, substance abuse, smoking cessation, X Rays, *pregnancy testing/family planning, *PAP smears, *mammograms.

How Can I Receive Services:

You must present your student identification card and your current registration fee receipt so that we may confirm your eligibility to receive services at the time of your visit. You can either walk-in or receive medical services or preferably schedule an appointment at a convenient time.

Student Psychological Services:

At Los Angeles Valley College we recognize that everyone has problems in their life at some time. Any type of personal problems may produce stress and prevent you from achieving your goals. LAVC has established Student Psychological Services to assist students in managing a wide range of problems they may face in their everyday life.
