Applied/Faculty Mentor Concert #1 -- 1:30pm in Music 106 (Recital Hall)

A recital showcase featuring students in the Applied Music Program and Performance Workshop class. Admission is free.

Friday, December 1

Jazz Combos -- 1:00pm in Music 112 (Band Room)

The LAVC Jazz Combos, under the direction of Prof. Richard Kahn, will present an afternoon of contemporary popular music works by some of the greatest bands and songwriters of the last 100 years. Admission is free.

Broadway Showcase -- 7:00pm in Music 106 (Recital Hall)

Students in the Musical Theater Repertoire class, directed by Dr. Christian Nova, will present an evening of Broadway selections from a variety of shows, musical revues, and films. Reception immediately following the performance. Admission is free.

Sunday, December 3

College Choir & Chamber Singers -- 7:00pm in Music 106 (Recital Hall)

The Chamber Singers and College Choir, under the direction of Glenn Carlos, present Something Bigger Than Me. This tapestry of music and poetry examines the human spirit in its relationship to the universe, the sea and sky, love, a higher power, forgiveness, compassion, and hope. Ticket prices TBA.

Monday, December 4

LAVC Wind Ensemble -- 7:30pm in Music 106 (Recital Hall)

The Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Lori Musicant Kozubek will present a captivating concert of heartwarming and festive seasonal works. From beloved classics to contemporary arrangements, the concert will feature a diverse repertoire of winter-themed compositions and cherished holiday favorites. Admission is free.

Tuesday, December 5

Performance Workshop Concert #1 -- 11:20am in Music 106 (Recital Hall)

A recital showcase featuring students in the Applied Music Program and Performance Workshop class. Admission is free.

Wednesday, December 6

Applied/Faculty Mentor Concert #2 -- 1:30pm in Music 106 (Recital Hall)

Applied music students who are completing the program will present a final recital, including performances in collaboration with music faculty. Admission is free.

Valley Symphony Orchestra -- 7:30pm in Music 106 (Recital Hall)

The Valley Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of conductor Mishkar Nunez-Fredell, will present an evening of exciting music by Vivaldi, Saint-Saens, and Mozart featuring two of our violinists in a double violin concerto and our clarinetist with the famous Swan from Carnival of the Animals. Admission is free.
