Print as Protest Art Exhibition

The Los Angeles Valley College Art Gallery proudly presents a new exhibition titled Print as Protest from March 27-May 2 in the LAVC Art Gallery in the Art Building.

This exhibition features the work of Inge Bruggeman, Diana-Sofia Estrada, Michael Krueger, Kimiko Miyoshi, Tim Musso, and Sergio Teran, along with a special project by students from PRINT IT LIKE YOU MEAN IT: Artistic Agency & The Print Multiple, UC Santa Barbara.

There is also an artist reception for the exhibition on Wednesday, March 27 from 6-8 p.m. in the LAVC Art Gallery.

Print as Protest
Exhibition runs from March 27-May 2 

Print as Protest features the work of Inge Bruggeman, Diana-Sofia Estrada, Michael Krueger, Kimiko Miyoshi, Tim Musso, and Sergio Teran, along with a special project by students from PRINT IT LIKE YOU MEAN IT: Artistic Agency and The Print Multiple, UC Santa Barbara. The exhibition explores the idea of art as a tool for political activism and resistance and the history of printmaking as a democratic and accessible means of conveying ideas and information.

The exhibition and the artists' reception is open to the public, and there is free admission.

The LAVC Art Gallery is located in the Art building. The Art Gallery's Spring 2019 hours are Monday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m., Tuesday from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and 6-9 p.m., Wednesday from 2-4 p.m., and Thursday from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. The gallery is closed on March 28-April 7, as well as on Fridays, Saturday, Sundays, non-instruction days, holidays, and when the campus is closed. View campus map.

Ticket Cost: Free

Parking permits are required at all times. Daily Parking permits for student parking spots can be purchased at an LAVC parking pay station. View campus map
