Pianist Liya Melikyan will present a concert of solo works, and works for 2 pianos/4 hands with special guest Bethany Campbell.

Liya Melikyan is an alumna of Los Angeles Valley College. She received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Piano Performance from University of Southern California as a student of Bernadene Blaha.  Over the course of her studies Liya has participated in several competitions and has been a top prizewinner of California Association of Professional Music Teachers Honors Audition, CAPMT Romantic Festival, MTNA Honors Solo Audition and Armenian Allied Arts Association.  She finished her degree as an honorary member of Pi Kappa Lambda Honors Music Society.   Liya has been teaching piano for over six years and currently holds her own studio. She also teaches general music and volunteers as an accompanist at Education Through Music – Los Angeles, a non-profit organization that provides music classes to disadvantaged public schools. In 2017, Liya was the pianist at the ETM-LA, Winter Gala fundraising concert that featured guest artist and Grammy-Award winner, Joshua Bell. 
Dr. Bethany Campbell received her Doctor of Musical Arts degree in piano performance from the University of Southern California under the tutelage of Bernadene Blaha. Her Carnegie Hall debut was made in 2007 and her recordings have been featured on 91.5 KUSC’s “Thornton Center Stage” program. From 2012-2014, Ms. Campbell held a teaching assistant position at USC. She graduated Pi Kappa Lambda and was chosen as the "Most Outstanding Keyboard Graduate" at the doctoral level within the Thornton School of Music. In addition to her studies and teaching, Ms. Campell maintained a recurring role as a keyboardist on Twentieth Century-Fox's hit television show GLEE (Season 5). Ms. Campbell served on the piano faculty at Santa Monica College from 2014-2016 and has maintained a private piano studio since 2010. She is now based in Las Vegas, Nevada where she serves as a Teaching Artist in residence with the Southern Nevada Wolf Trap in association with The Smith Center for the Performing Arts. Her latest venture includes serving as an Artist in Residence with Project Imagine Las Vegas, an Arts-in-Medicine program.
