Individuals who are 17 years of age (16 with parental permission in some states), meet weight and height requirements (110 pounds or more, depending on height), and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. Please bring your Red Cross donor card or other form of positive photo ID when you come to donate.

All blood donors are encouraged to drink plenty of water every day for two days before the drive, and have a good meal before making a blood donation. We encourage donors to take an iron suppliement three days before each drive. There now is no longer a deferral period for recent tattoos that are done in a licensed tattoo shop.
