Coach De La Hoya enters his third season as an assistant coach with the green and gold, his second under Head Coach Hang. Prior toLAVC, he assisted John H. Francis Polytechnic High School boy’s varsity team to the 1999 Los Angeles City Invitational Championship.

A product of John H. Francis Polytechnic High School of Sun Valley and LAVC, De La Hoya obtained his Associate of Art degree in Liberal Studies with honors LAVC and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Cal State Northridge in 2006.

Besides being a part of the Monarch women’s basketball program, De La Hoya is a recreation coordinator at Hubert H. Humphrey Recreation Center. He's married to his beautiful wife Michelle and has two handsome boys, Joshua and Miguel.
